ProfileThe Pembina Valley Development Corporation (PVDC) is a regional development corporation incorporated under Manitoba law in July of 1964. PVDC is owned and operated by 13 municipal governments in the Pembina Valley Region of Manitoba (Figure – 1). The Corporation partners with: the Province of Manitoba – Department of Agriculture Food and Rural Initiatives, other government departments – provincial/federal, business/industry, community development corporations (CDC’s), local chambers of commerce, education and training facilities, and other community partners to facilitate economic growth in the region. PVDC’s mission clearly states that the Corporation is to facilitate, develop, and implement the creation of an economic, social and sustainable environment that encourages development in all sectors of the economy to the benefit of the Pembina Valley Region and the Province of Manitoba
